I wanted to have the scene looking suitable and as good as possible for my interviews so I conducted research on what I could do to make it look the best it could.
I learned as I am using more than one camera, I need to make sure that camera ‘A’ is positioned exactly opposite to camera ‘B’ in reference to where they are positioned. I wasn’t considering whether I should but I was advised to definitely use tripods. You can use handheld because it might suit the kind of film your making. But I will use some handheld for the cutaway scenes. It is a very good idea to use microphones. I have listed boom mics in my kit list as I intend to have quality sound. I was advised to do my work an a quiet place.
Depending on my camera, sometimes you can get away with using available, natural light, but it’s always better to have artificial light as it makes your interview look better. So I will use the light provided by the college.
It’s important not to put my subject up against a wall, have some space behind so they can be the focus of the film, you need to create depth.
