The Office is British television mockumentary sitcom. The show focuses on themes of social clumsiness, the trivialities of human behaviour, self-importance and conceit, frustration, desperation and fame.
It is mockumentary based in a branch of a paper company called Wernham Hogg. The office is headed by manager David Brent who is assisted by his team leader Gareth Keenan.
The Office is very similar to my film as it is a character based comedy because it relies on the characters to make it funny.
This of David Brent uses the rule of thirds when he is talking. This is how I want to compose my close ups on my interviewees. Again, like many mockumentaries they use the handheld cameras to film the scenes that are not interviews, this has inspired me to do the same which my cutaways.
