Come Fly with Me is an English mockumentary television comedy series created by and starring Matt Lucas and David Walliams and is narrated by Lindsay Duncan. A humorous imitation of the British documentaries Airport and Arline, the show follows the activity at London Stansted Airpot and three fictional airlines; FlyLo, Our Lady Air and Great British.
The characters include Omar Baba, Precious Little, Moses Beacon, Ian Foot, Tommy Reid, Taaj Manor, Melody Baines, Mickey Minchin, Fearghal O’Farrell, Ben Roberts, Simon, Peter, Penny Carter, Terry, Helen Baker and Lisa
Lucas and Walliams portray many of the airport and airline staff.
I like this scene of Ian interviewing Taaj because of how the camera work is done. There are 2 cameras, one of each of them. But instead of them being on tripods it looks as if it is handheld. Which gives the impression that it’s from somebody else’s perspective. This is an approach I might take with my scenes. Originally I was going to have all the camera on a tripod but I really like the look of these shots.
It would make sense to do this as the classroom would be full of students and the camera could make it seem like somebody was watching from their seat.
