People Just Do Nothing is a British TV mockumentary sitcom, created and performed by Allan Mustafa, Steve Stamp, Asim Mustafa, Steve Stamp, Asim Chaudhry and Hugo Chegwin. The programme follows the lives of MC Grindah, DJ Beats and friends, who run a private radio station called Kurupt FM where they broadcast UK garage and drum and bass music from Brentford. The show actually started off as a series of shorts that got enough frame that they got asked to make a pilot episode.
In this mockumentary the characters give interviews to the camera in a loose documentary style. The characters have an inflated sense of their own talent and success.
This entire scene of Chabuddy G is handheld. A lot of the previous mockumnetaries that I have looked into use handheld camera’s to film and cut to one on one’s with the character. I had been previously inspired to have this in other scenes but I could possibly have it in the interviews, I would have to get someone to film it.
