Classroom Location

I had the option of filming in the classroom. I almost chose this option as I liked the idea of having what the show is about as the background of the film. The classroom matches the idea as the show is called Know Your Classmates.

I eventually decided against it as some of the cutaways will be in that room so it wouldn’t be greatest continuity to have a the interview in the classroom, them all the sudden cut to a scene that is directly where we are filming. Also I would have to film facing the windows where are students walking past. This could be distracting to the viewers. I could then close the blinds but that would make the set look quite dull.

Also, an issue with the classroom is that there is a constant fan noise in the background. This has proved to be an issue a number of times in pervious projects so I have to work with the sound levels. Or just avoid the room all together.

I have seen in many interviews that the background is normally related to what the interview is about. So I wanted to use this approach.
