One of my options was to film in the TV Studio. There are a number of reasons that I could film in there.
I like the fact that the studio looks very professional, it also has a white background so if I was not able to film in the Photography room, I can still maintain the white background. The TV Studio has more space to work with and I can create a set however I would like with the different things I can put in the shot such as a table or chairs or a backdrop. A possible option with the TV Studio is to use the green screen to make a artificial background. The TV Studio also has a control room where I can experiment with the lighting. This is an advantage over all the other choices because I create different moods with the different lightning.
The TV studio is not completely free of problems. There is a constant fan noise that you can hear in the background. To combat this I need to make sure I use a microphone and aim it downwards at the people speaking.
Another issue with the TV Studio is that it is a very popular option with other students so it will be difficult to get a slot to use it. This could result in me having to wait for a free time or I will have to see if it’s possible for me to use some of their booking time.
