Editing Process

I wanted to work to a system, when it came to editing. Working systematically would help make the process a lot smoother. So I decided to work in chronological order of the film.

I edited Troy’s interview first, and then I worked on all the titles and the question headings. I then edited the cutaways. Even though I found a lot of footage and had a lot of things to consider and make sure that they were done correctly. The whole process for this section took around an hour.

Then once that was done I decided to move on to Charlie’s. His section was about the same, around one hour.

When it came to do in the end credits, I just use shots that I didn’t use in the film. There were some sections of the answers that I didn’t like, but they came into handy as they provided a background for the end credits.

There was a slight issue with the playback. When I tried playing the film back from the beginning, I noticed that the footage was very choppy and kept freezing. This is easily solved by rendering the whole film.
