The most time-consuming bit of the production of my film, was editing. Due to the fact I was making a documentary style film, I knew I had to be careful and make sure that everything was flowing smoothly.
The easiest bit of editing was the interviews, apart from having to remove some bits that I didn’t like, because I didn’t feel that part of answer was interesting enough, the interview did not take long at all, however it was the scenes that I wanted to put over them that I had to make sure I was precise with.
The different scenes varied in difficulty of editing. The easiest scene that it was Rory’s outfit. It only required me to cut to the different areas of the outfit that we were talking about, and that was easy to match up.
On the other hand, the Uno scene for example, required me to be very careful. I thought about having a shot of Charlie talking in between each player putting a card down. But I was advised by Fay that it would look a lot nicer if they all put the cards down one after the other.
I still had a shot of Charlie to let him get to the point where he says Charlotte puts a card down, and then I had a shot of Charlotte putting the car down.
This is probably every point in my scene as I had to cut the scene up because it was very short. Whereas other scenes were easy to edit because they had longer amounts of footage.
