Even though in my final draft I didn’t use any colour grading I still experimented with what I could’ve done. I thought about having the interview in normal colour and potentially colour grading the cutaways. However I decided not to do this because mockumentaries don’t normally use colour grading and this would make my FMP seem like an action film or another genre so I decided not to.
I thought about having my scenes with a darker colour grade to add some tension but not all of my scenes were meant to have tension. The only one I could realistically have colour graded would be the fight between Charlotte and Rory but even that was only meant to be exaggerated and a joke. So ultimately I decided not to do it.
This proved to be a better choice because it helps keep the light hearted, humorous feel to the film.
