The sound for my film was good. It was recorded very well by Troy and Charlie for each other’s interview. The sound for Troy interview turned out perfect as it is directed to Troy to his voice is louder. I made sure to use a boom mic as in my test shots I used a zoom which couldn’t fully pick up our voices.
However the sound levels for Charlie’s interview were very low for some reason and they needed to be edited in Adobe Audition, which is a programme where you can edit sound and raise the levels. I did this and it turned out to significantly improve my film. I also raised the music to match the sounds.
I also used a feature in Premiere which would fade the sound in and out as when the question would show, I would have the music be louder. Before I knew how to do this, the sound would just jump to a high level.
Once I had balanced and adjusted all my sound accordingly I found that my overall sound levels were too high. there is an indictor on the right side of the screen to tell you, I saw that mine were in the red, meaning it was too high.
