Experimenting With Slow Motion

I used slow motion in parts of my film. To go with each question header, I had Charlie and Troy do an action or make a facial expression that had to do with the question.

Also, when Charlie and Troy were each introduced I had them look at the camera and smile and played it slow motion.

One thing I found during my test shot was that in order to be able to slow down or Premiere I had to make sure I was filming in a higher frame rate. Because if I wasn’t when you try and slow it down it would look very choppy. So I filmed in 720p 50 frames per second.

For example, I had Troy put his fingers in his ears is as if he were trying to shield them from a loud noise when asked who is the loudest. And I had Charlie act as if he was hyped for a game of Uno when I asked who is the best at Uno.

I liked this approach better, because it was a more fun and engaging way to ask the question rather than just having me ask it to them.

I also considered having the cutaways in slow motions well, I feel like this could make a more humorous approach.

I did try both but I then decided once comparing them both but I prefer them at normal speed because I they were full scenes and they were too long to play in slow motion.
