My film is happy and upbeat. To make sure I achieve this, I made a number of things look and sound in a way that would portray this.
Soundtrack- My soundtrack is Hollywood Swingin’ this is the same soundtrack that they use in teammates 2.0. There were a number of different soundtracks that I considered, but none of them quite had the feel that this wanted. So I decided to go to this. The soundtrack is very positive which will help get the audience in a positive mood.
Jokes – The one thing that I wanted my film to do was to make people laugh. So I made sure to have it filled with a number of jokes and humorous moments that poked light-hearted fun of people. People tend to be more interested in things that make them laugh because it makes them feel happy, so if I could make my film funny it would make it interesting.
Bright shots- Different colours have different conventions. Even though with Troy’s interview I had a black background. The shot was still filled with light which gave it a positive feel. If I didn’t have any lighting people associate it with a horror film or the horror genre in general.
Title Colour- I made sure not to use a dark font colour, So I used white writing because this subconsciously gives the brain a positive feeling.
